Employee engagement has become tougher than ever, but HR tech has managed to achieve higher goals. Adapting new technologies and implementing them is constant in the HR industry. The blended workforce in office and work-from-home created some new HR trends. Here, we will discuss some of the trends that are going to sustain in 2022.

A Hybrid Work Culture: As the pandemic hit the world in 2020, work-from-home became a necessity. The world is currently in the path of recovery, but this work culture is going to stay for some more time. The concept of a blended workforce is in, and most companies are adapting this hybrid structure, to move to normalcy. The trend of hybrid culture will stay in 2022, and we will see innovations in this.

Four-day Workweek:

Work-from-home has eliminated the commute time. Employees learned to be more productive while working from home. The flexible schedule, time with family, and me-time have helped them concentrate more. The productivity and flexibility, both increased in this situation. With such a change, people are now asking for more flexibility. Organizations are thinking about a 4-day workweek to retain employees. The four-day workweek can be a reality for some companies in 2022.

Putting importance on mental health and wellness:

Spending so much time at home during the pandemic situation made people aware of the importance of mental health. People cannot travel freely to places, and traveling is quite limited. In such a scenario, it becomes even more important to take care of your mental health. HR department makes sure to arrange activities and provide certain incentives apart from money to the employees. Some companies are also offering mental health days as part of the leaves. The trend is new, but it is going to stay in 2022.

Binding the generations together:

For the first time in history, the millennials, boomers, Generation X, and Generation Z are working in the same workforce. The difference in mentality regarding working in the same city or any remote location, going back to the office, and flexible office hours were noted during this time. The difference is going to continue in the year 2022, and this can be a challenge for HR.

Technology involvement in recruit and HR management:

Interviewing, hiring, filing documents, and more is done online today, with HR support. This has been made possible by implementing new software in the system and proper administration. The trend is here to stay.

Upskilling people:

Training programs and workshops are arranged for employees from time to time so that they can upgrade their skills. Apart from upskilling programs, HR often offers to reskill programs to stay at top of the game.

In a digitally-driven world, HR technology can become more advanced. 2021 has seen some new trends in technology, and the same is going to be the scenario in 2022.
